How long can you keep eggs? Surprisingly long. If you keep them in the refrigerator, they can last up to three weeks. You want to keep them in the fridge at all times to ensure maximum freshness.

How can I tell if my eggs are fresh?

There are a couple ways to tell if your eggs are fresh.

1) Hold the egg. The egg should have some weight to it and feel heavy. This is a sign of freshness.

2) Crack it open. Fresh eggs when cracked on a plate, will not be too runny and the yolk will be in the middle.

3) Place the egg in a bowl of water. If it floats, it’s too old.

What is the egg grading system?

All eggs are graded A, AA, or B. There is almost no difference between the A grades, which are the ones in the store. B graded eggs may be less than perfect. These are shipped to bakeries and factories that deal in broken egg products, like frozen waffles.
